Therapeutic Stretching

Stretching is often one of the first things we intuitively do to relieve muscular discomfort. Regular, intentional and focused stretching is arguably one of the best ways to keep our muscles happy and pain free.

This is not a scripted yoga class, but an individual stretching session to focus on your body’s unique needs and areas of tension. The goal of a therapeutic stretching session is to become familiar with proper stretching techniques, focused on areas that are specifically affecting you, building an awareness of your body and an understanding of how to stretch effectively.

Functional Strengthening

We are quick to blame tight muscles for our muscular discomfort, but more often than not it's a combination of muscular tension and weakness that's responsible for our pain. Strengthening muscles isn't just for body builders and athletes, everyone can benefit from intentional strengthening exercises, and your goals can be adjusted to suit your specific needs.

These individual sessions focus on your body's unique needs and areas of weakness that may be contributing to dysfunction and pain. The goal of a functional strengthening session isn't to get "ripped" or chisel your abs, but to become familiar with proper strengthening techniques, focused on areas that are specifically affecting you, building an awareness of your body and an understanding of how to target specific muscles for effective strengthening that will help relieve chronic pain and discomfort.
